Super Secret Band from PDX

Super Secret Band from PDX

Fri, Sep 20

Funky, instrumental rock core, seasoned with elements of psychedelia, prog, jam, jazz, hip hop, and blues. Their new album features the Portland legend Tyrone Hendrix (Prince, Quick and Easy Boys, Etc.) on drums who lays down an undeniable pocket for the title track “Never Odd Or Even”, and Dylan Campbell energizes the rest of the album on drums. Bassist Kody Kindhart fills out the rhythm section with a mix of slap bass, driving supportive bass-lines and beautiful melodies highlighted by a bass solo towards the end of “fliP floppeD.” Guitarist Josh Wiley Marks covers a range of sounds on this album from soulful leads on “Tootsie Time” to spacey textures on Mt Kay Bird, to straight up dark and scary diminished shreds on “2011 Gila Wizard”. Nick Allison soars over “Mt. Kay Bird '' and “Never Odd Or Even” on his self made Stratocaster, and also penned the first track “Tootsie Time” for the project. The bands rockin sounds are complimented with a taste of Jazz and Funk from keyboardist Devon Dipaolo (New Dew) and the horn section made up of Trombonist Jeff Chilton (Jay Si Proof), and Matt Sullikowski of (Matt’s Big Bad Swing Band) on Saxophone and Flute. The Welter Brothers

The Welter Brothers

Fri, Sep 27

The Welter Brothers are, in many ways, a classic stringed instrument-wielding blood harmony duo. Like the Louvins, Monroes, and Everlys, they have spent countless hours melding their individual sounds into a cohesive unit. However, the wells they draw from stand unique among similar groups. 5PM-8PM all ages, free dinner show!

Sirsy

Sirsy

Fri, Sep 27

Playing more than 200 shows per year all over the US, Sirsy is fronted by a charismatic, soulful, powerhouse of a lead vocalist. (Seriously, wait until you hear Mel sing!) Mel is also the band’s drummer (and she’s been featured in Modern Drummer). She simultaneously plays bass on a keyboard with her drumstick. She also plays piano, melodica, and the occasional badass flute solo too. Mel's bandmate, husband, co-writer, & bestie is Rich Libutti. Rich masterfully plays a well-loved and road worn Rickenbacker through a pedal board full of vintage effects. He sounds like 3 guitarists all on his own at live shows. Rich also plays bass (and at live shows often does it on a pedal board with his feet). These 2 multi-instrumentalists manage to sound like a full band and somehow do it all with big smiles on their faces. Their clever smart songs have more hooks than a tackle box, with lyrics that center around empowerment and resilience. Fans have supported the duo through the pandemic, their 11 records, and Mel's 2 bouts with cancer. Every show is like a celebration for this couple and their fans. Come celebrate life with them! "SIRSY is your favorite band, you just don’t know it yet." – Rochester City Newspaper. 9PM-CLOSE, all ages until 11PM! General Mojo's - Seattle Psych Pop with Dozey Dubs Reggae from ID

Sat, Sep 28

General Mojos is a psychedelic rock band from Seattle Washington with over a decade of history in the Northwest, but creating a contemporary sound daily. Composed of four generational talents, Unleashed Entertainment has described them as “the band with no weak link”. The ensemble found their PNW voice within the richly established DIY scene, performing primarily in house shows. While a shimmering psych-pop presence in the music has cemented itself, the band has widened their influences and performances, playing electric shows festivals across the northwest, USA, and internationally. IN 2024 band members were featured in the score and music of Orlando Bloom film ‘Red Right Hand’. Dozey Dubs is a hella chill band from Garden City Idaho who play a variety of jazzy reggae influenced originals and covers, that make you want to dance, feel, and vibe!

This link is for single show tickets. If you would like to buy tickets to the Hallowicked Pub Crawl between Emerald of Siam and Rays Golden Lion on Oct 25, 26 go to HALLOWICKED2024.EVENTBRITE.COM LOST OX: Genre-blending jammers Lost Ox are based out of Portland, OR. The band, known for combining elements of funk, psychedelia, jazz, Americana, and progressive rock, was formed in 2017. Rooted both in the jamband resurgence of the 1990s and the original 1960s psychedelic folk rock revolution, their style encompasses many familiar jam tropes, all executed and reimagined with an inspired, dauntless precision. The band has released four full length studio albums, Wildheart (2018), Earthsnake (2021), Stuck (2022), and Tale of the Fool , which came out on May 3, 2024. Lost Ox has shared bills with members of Umphrey’s McGee, TAUK, Spafford, California Honeydrops, Dogs in a Pile, Consider the Source, and many others and has played hundreds of national shows and traveled tens of thousands of miles across the US. The origins of the Ox are mysterious to many. Way back in 2011, Dylan and Reed were both jazz performance majors at Lewis & Clark College. Dylan was walking the halls one day when, upon hearing the bass line to the Grateful Dead's "Shakedown Street", he paused. When he peeked in the window, Reed was inside. The two have been giggin together since. That's a lot of jams, man! A long strange trip later, Scot's band was playing at a Widespread Panic pre/after-party; Dyl was along for the ride. After some cordial greetings, Dylan found his way on stage, and a musical friendship was born. In 2024, after 4.5 years of ruggedly trudging through the musical tundra as a 4 piece, Zac joined the band guitar 2. Zac is like the butter to our toast. The guacamole to our chip. The salad to our breadsticks. What's next for these four wild, boundless dreamers? Only time can tell. Stay tuned. While the Lost Ox sound continues to evolve, one quality that has yet to waver is their relentless commitment to progression and exploration. Characterized by intriguing lyrical interplay, shredding guitar solos, funky bass lines, and complex arrangements.
