Jitensha

Jitensha

Fri, Aug 08

David and Erin Rose (Rosey for short) met in the summer of 2012, at an open mic at Benny’s Bagels on Broadway in Vancouver. They played in the 5 piece indie rock band The Cattails for about a year before deciding to go out on their own and formed Jitensha. Their first album “Buck Moon” was released April 29th 2014. Jitensha’s sound is an effervescent union of honey sweet indie pop and neo-psychedelia. Harmonically reminiscent of 1950s rock and roll, this bubbly duo nestles catchy yet poignant melodies into bright loops and grooves. Lyrically focused on environment, psychology and universal love, they bring you on a winsome journey of modern human experience. Jitensha has released three full length albums, Buck Moon (2014), Periscope (2019), and Closing Statements (2024) as well as three acoustic EPs Vol 1 - 3 (2014, 2017 & 2023). New single “Sunbeam” May 23rd 2025! 5PM-8PM All Ages. No Cover. Dinner show. Walk ins welcome. ARTIST'S LINK: https://jitenshamusic.com/

Talena Bricker

Talena Bricker

Tue, Aug 26

After decades of privately writing songs, in 2018 Talena boldly stepped forward with her debut EP. Her first release was an intimate voice and acoustic guitar record that earned rave reviews from online outlets such as Ear To The Ground and When The Horn The Blows. Since then, Talena has grown artistically through playing shows, and sharing her music in front of live audiences. Her latest release, War Line, finds her incorporating a lusher Americana soundscape into her literate indie-folk. This expanded palette of instrumentation includes ethereal pedal steel, pastoral violin flourishes, and sensitive guitar, bass, and drums interplay. Talena’s latest work recalls the subtle country-tinged beauty of songwriter indie artists such as Gregory Alan Isakov, Patrick Park, and John Paul White. The 5-song EP was recorded at Rye Room in Portland by studio owner and producer Matt Greco. All ages, free dinner show 5PM-8PM! ARTIST LINK: https://www.talenabricker.com/home
